A-Kon® Announces Performance by “Budo Grape”

First U.S. appearance is confirmed for A-Kon® 19

DALLAS, TEXAS - November 29, 2007

The Japanese pop group Budo Grape has confirmed their first U.S. appearance will be at A-Kon® 19, May 30-June 1, 2007. The group, comprised of 2 women and 3 men, fronted by model & radio personality “Quminco” and “Nagai” (formerly of ‘The Shockers’), will perform a live concert on Friday night, May 30, and will do autograph sessions and Q&A panels throughout the weekend at A-Kon®.

A-Kon® is the oldest continually running, anime-based convention in N. America. Celebrating it's 19th year in 2008, A-Kon® hosts anime fans and guests, and offers other items of interest ranging from gaming, to independent film, all in the quest to provide the best experience for the fans and bring the most engaging, and educational, entertainment to the anime community.

ABOUT BUDO GRAPE

Budo Grape is a catchy, high-energy avant-garde pop band from Nagoya, Japan. The band is fronted by model and radio personality "Quminco" and Nagoya music legend Nagai of "The Shockers." Formed in 2001, Budo Grape released their first full album "Koibito wa Koishite Tsukuru" in 2005. The album was a hit in the Japanese underground scene and was followed up with the 2006 release "Soko kara Detekinasai" and 2007's "Otonatachi x Kodomotachi" The band, whose members all have "Grape" for a last name, claim to come from
