FUNimation Entertainment Acquires Is This A Zombie?
Flower Mound, TX (May 21, 2011) - FUNimation(R) Entertainment today announced that it has acquired home entertainment, broadcast, digital, online and merchandise rights for the fantasy anime series “Is This a Zombie?” ( or "Kore wa Zombie Desu ka?") from Kadokawa.
Based on the light novel series of the same name by Shinichi Kimura, the 12-episode and OVA anime adaptation is produced by Studio DEEN and directed by Takaomi Kanasaki ("Hellsing").
In "Is This a Zombie?", Aikawa Ayumu is a normal high school boy until the day he is killed by a serial killer and then revived by a necromancer named Eucliwood Hellscythe -- as a zombie!
FUNimation will release the series on DVD in 2012.
