Baltimore Science Fiction Society Hosts Free Monthly Public Anime, Manga, and Gaming Social At BSFS Headquarters

Baltimore City, Maryland – February 22, 2012Every third Saturday of the month throughout the year, from 2 to 6 PM, the Baltimore Science Fiction Society (BSFS), will host a free, public social event with anime, manga, and board gaming. BSFS headquarters is located at 3310 East Baltimore Street, Baltimore, MD 21224. The building is serviced by the 40, 22, and 23 MTA buses, and parking is available on the street.

The Anime Social is held to bring together Maryland, D.C., Pennsylvania and Delaware fans in one place that strongly supports fandom. Along with having our own building which contains our very large board game collection, the BSFS manga collection, thanks to donations, is now over 400 volumes and is accessible to the general public. Anyone with an interest in anime, manga, gaming, science fiction, fantasy, and/or fandom in general is encouraged to attend. People new to BSFS, anime, and/or science fiction are especially welcomed.

The Baltimore Science Fiction Society is a literary organization focusing on science fiction, fantasy, and related genres. A not-for-profit literary society based in Baltimore, MD, the BSFS holds many events such as author readings, business meetings, gaming days, book discussion groups, and writing critique circles regularly throughout the year, and also produces Balticon, the Maryland Regional Science Fiction Convention.
