"Cosplay in America" Exhibition at Kean University Jan 2013

First time photo series will be exhibited on the East Coast.

Los Angeles, CA Jan 2, 2013 - Photographer Ejen Chuang announces his series “Cosplay in America” will be exhibited at the Nancy Dryfoos Gallery located on campus of Kean University in Union, New Jersey from January 22 to February 15, 2013.

Fourteen images of cosplayers from around the country will be on exhibit at the campus gallery with an artist reception on Jan 24th from 5 PM - 8 PM. In addition, the artist will give a presentation about his series as well as the process the series was created.

"Not just the most elaborately dressed or the sexiest, what you see is a cross section of costumed America ... each one is set in front of same black backdrop which lets you focus on the cosplayers and how much work they put into their costumes. Ejen's message is clear : they're the artist. He's just the photographer." reports the Madeline Brand Show (NPR) who previewed the Los Angeles exhibition in the Fall of 2011.
