Danny Choo Announces Earnings and Expansion of Culture Japan

TOKYO (JUNE 26th 2013) - Danny Choo, Producer of the worldwide TV series “Culture Japan,” announced that earnings for the fiscal year 2012 for startup Culture Japan amounted to 50 million yen (half a million USD) and that most of it was generated through merchandise sales and collaborations with the Culture Japan mascot character Mirai Suenaga.

Mirai Suenaga has recently become a mascot character for the international book store Kinokuniya, the Low Cost Carrier Air Asia and the Japanese convenience store LAWSON.

Culture Japan is expanding its business by relocating to larger offices in Tokyo this Summer and will be hiring 4 incremental full time staff.

The available positions for immediate hire are Marketing Manager, Video Producer, Events & Retail Manager and a Graphic Designer. Job descriptions for all these positions and application method are posted on the Culture Japan website.

New members will be working with Culture Japan clients in the anime industry which include Konami, Production IG, King Records, Good Smile Company, Bushiroad, Kadokawa, Ascii Media Works, Yuzu Soft, SEGA, Sony Computer Science and more.

All these positions are full time and based in Tokyo. Culture Japan will sponsor any visa requirements.

Born in the UK and currently based in Tokyo, Danny Choo is the producer of the Culture Japan brand which shares Japanese culture through a series of terrestrial TV shows, characters, products and events.

Danny has been recognized for his work by the Japanese government and was appointed as a member of their Creative Industries Internationalization Committee.

Danny directs and presents on the TV shows Culture Japan and Japan Mode which are broadcast weekly on TV channels domestic in Japan and internationally.

Danny is also the creator and producer of Mirai Suenaga - the mascot character for Culture Japan who has made appearances in Japanese games, anime and has collaborated with companies such as Air Asia, Touch 'n Go, Kinokuniya, Good Smile Company, Bushiroad, Ascii Media Works, King Records, Nitroplus and more.

Mirai Suenaga is the site mascot character for Culture Japan who was developed by Danny Choo in 2007. Mirai started off as a single illustration in the corner of the his website back in 2007 and since then has gained much popularity worldwide.

Mirai suenaga went on to collaborate with many companies in the Japanese anime field and has worked with companies such as Good Smile Company, Nitro Plus, Kadokawa, King Records and more.
