Anime Boston Announces JAM Project

Anime Boston 2014 announces its first blockbuster guests

JAM Project to perform two special concerts at the Northeast's largest anime convention

Boston – Anime Boston, the largest anime convention in New England, announced its first guests of honor today. Anime music super group JAM Project will be performing two concerts at Anime Boston at the Hynes Convention Center, Boston, Mass. on March 21 through March 23, 2014.

JAM Project, which stands for Japan Animation-song Makers, consists of Hironobu Kageyama, Masaaki Endoh, Hiroshi Kitadani, Masami Okui and Yoshiki Fukuyama. In addition to their work as JAM Project, each is a superstar in their own right with prolific solo careers. For the first time ever, U.S. fans will get the back to back opportunity not only to experience the full JAM Project band in concert, but also a special second concert dedicated to each member's solo material.

“Having JAM Project join us for Anime Boston 2014 is a great honor,” said Sarah Hodge-Wetherbe, Anime Boston's Director of Guest Relations.

Since its debut in 2000, JAM Project has produced and released hundreds of anime and video game theme songs, such as the themes to Super Robot Wars, Garo and Tomica Hero. The group also toured worldwide in 2008 and 2011.

JAM Project has also performed at the historical Nippon Budoukan five times in 2009, 2010 and 2012. They have also had memorable concerts at Expo 2012 Yeosu Korea, a joint tour with ANIMETAL USA and a large-scale South American tour “JAM Project Latin America LIVE TOUR 2012: ARIGATO TOMODACHI.”

In October 2013, JAM Project released Thumbs Rise Again and has started to tour through Japan. This will be their new album's American debut.
