Animé Los Angeles 2020 Reports Record Year with 12,961 Unique Attendees

ONTARIO, CA - January 14th, 2020 - The 16-year running Los Angeles anime convention has recently reported their unique attendees figures for their highly anticipated 2020 event at the Ontario Convention Center and Double Tree hotel.

Animé Los Angeles #16 featured many changes from previous years, the most notable of which is the layout change of the exhibit hall and entertainment stage. The exhibit hall was now expanded to include artist alley, with the entertainment hall relocated to the other side of the convention center.

Animé Los Angeles Convention Chair Alec Orrock announced on January 12, 2020 that Animé Los Angeles #16 has reached a record 12,961 unique attendees.

Convention content creators including Dpiddy, Sojubeats, Arcane Maid Cafe, and many others were seen in the famous "cosplay street" area near the foods trucks and AniFest outdoor community stage.

Due to the recent construction of the adjacent Gateway Hotel, scheduled programs were moved to the Double Tree hotel, resulting in a more cohesive convention experience. One noticeable setback was the floor construction of the main hall by the convention center, which was inconvenient for attendees, but did not distract from the overall convention experience.

Major scheduled events included the USA debut of the Japanese trio BRATS, including Rei Kuromiya on vocals, Aya Kuromiya on bass, and Hinako on guitar. J-Pop Duo FEMM also performed- opening for BRATS and hosting a VIP meet and greet for their fans. Both performances were free to attend with an Anime Los Angeles badge.

Fans of Animé Los Angeles can look forward to next year which is scheduled to take place again at the Ontario Convention Center on January 7-10, 2021.
