Kiral Poon of Gugenko to be Otakon 2022 Guest

Washington, D.C. (July 11, 2022) – Kiral Poon of Gugenka will be a guest at Otakon 2022, according to Otakorp Inc.

Poon is the CTO at Gugenko and also serves as 3D anime tech director and XR tech director. Gugenka is an XR creative studio that provides animation apps and services.

Hailing from Canada, Poon is a resident in Japan, working as XR technical director for content like "Attack on Titan (Hexaride)," "Slayers 3D Live," "Sanrio Virtual Fes," Taito's "Space Invader" arcade game, and more.

A self-professed otaku, Poon is passionate about bringing Japanese content to the world through different tech. He is also fascinated with creating the tech of improving anime production workflow.

Otakon will be held from July 29-31 in the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.
