I am thankful for the news, while I am no huge fan a proper conclusion to the series is welcome.

The manga ended half a year ago or so. Unless the author decides to do a sequel series the end has been coming for some time now. |

The anime left on a spot that already felt like we were heading towards a conclusion as is. I'm ok with that since it's hard to see it continuing without falling into a constant power creep as stronger kaiju are introduced. A sequel could work where it is maybe set somewhere else and follows different characters. I don't get the impression that Japan is the only place that has kaiju in that world. |
