The company also announced on Tuesday that it will add the Princess Principal anime, but it has not announced a debut date for the anime.

I'm Standing on 1,000,000 Lives will premiere in Japan on October 2. Ani-One Asia will stream the anime in Brunei, Cambodia, Taiwan, India, Indonesia, Laos, Macao, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan, Hong Kong, and Macau.

Kumiko Habara (PriPri Chii-chan!!, Battle Spirits Burning Soul episode director) is directing the anime at Maho Film. Takao Yoshioka (High School DxD, Your Lie in April, Konohana KitaN) is in charge of the series scripts. Eri Kojima and Toshihide Masudate (In Another World With My Smartphone) are designing the characters, and Yūko Ōba is drawing the sub-character designs. Liyuu, a popuar cosplayer from Shanghai, performs the ending theme song "Carpe Diem."

Kodansha Comics is publishing the manga in North America, and it describes the manga:

Ninth grader Yusuke Yotsuya is practical, friendless, and not active in any clubs. Then one day, he and two female classmates are suddenly sent to another world where they must work together to battle for their lives. Yotsuya is a lone wolf and has always lived his life according to his wants, but how will that work out now that he's supposed to be a hero?! Get ready for a one-of-a-kind fantasy story that will challenge everything you thought you knew about fantasy!

Princess Principal premiered in Japan in July 2017.

The anime is set in late 19th century London, in an alternate history where the Albion Kingdom's colonial ambitions have met no rival since their discovery of "Cavorite," a mineral that allows the temporary nullification of gravity, and powers the Kingdom's fleet of airships. However, civil war and uprisings have torn the British Isles in two, with London itself divided into East and West by a wall between the Kingdom and the new Commonwealth. A cell of Commonwealth spies, each with their own set of skills, infiltrates the Kingdom to gather intelligence, extract defectors, and conduct sabotage. One of these spies, Chise, has a hidden history with Angie, the princess of the Kingdom herself.

Masaki Tachibana (Barakamon, .hack//Quantum) directed the series at Studio 3Hz and Actas. Ichiro Okouchi (Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress) was in charge of the series composition and also wrote the scripts. Kouhaku Kuroboshi (Kino's Journey, Sky Girls) designed the original characters, and Yukie Akiya (Celestial Method, Code:Breaker) adapted the characters for animation and also served as a co-chief animation director for the series. Yuki Kajiura (Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Fate/Zero) composed the music.

A six-film sequel project titled Princess Principal: Crown Handler has been green-lit. The first film was slated to premiere on April 10, but was delayed due to the spread of the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
