| Hunter × Hunter (manga) | So-so | A boy with already-great skills and untapped potential who frequently bites of more than he can chew in brave acts of naivety and inexperience that at the same time display a sort of strength becomes part of an elite group with hundreds of other elite people with different talents for different things and finds a small group a friends that he's often paired with and their skills all complement each other blah blah blah blah blah.. Nothing you haven't seen before. Yet, at the same time, I did find it engaging in it's own way. It had a sparkle of uniqueness to it but, unfortunately, the triteness of the story detracts too much for this sparkle to truly salvage it. |

| Shaman King (manga) | Awful | Hmph. I don't like how it uses the concept of hell to demonstrate things.. or rather, there was one time it used it before I stopped reading that pissed me off. He was talking with this lizard guy who was saying something about how he didn't care if he went to hell and he countered it with a crappy argument how he really doesn't want to go to hell or something.. I don't want a religious lesson kthx. |
