Hello, I'm really confused here. I just finished watching Darker Than BLACK and I was wondering exactly what is Darker Than Black: Gaiden. I've heard that it explains what happened between season 1 and 2, but I'm not sure. Also, I was wondering will there be a Darker Than Black season 3???

Best watching order is:

1th: Darker Than Black - Kuro no Keiyakusha
2th: Darker Than Black - Gaiden
3th: Darker than Black - Ryūsei no Gemini

Everything on Gaiden happens after Kuro no Keiyakusha and before Ryūsei no Gemini. So if you watch Ryūsei no Gemini first you'll miss a lot of things. Of course, even with all of them nothing clarifies what happened to Yin. For one I'd say for sure that he spoiler[didn't kill Yin], because in Gaiden he cries out loud that he doesn't want to lose anyone else.

DTB 3? God knows. I was sure at first, and considering that Bones has yet to find its next hit, most likely I'd say.

I've watched volumes 1-6 on netflix + the OVA (episode 26). Is Gaiden apart of the volumes, or is it a separate thing I haven't seen? I'm kinda consused.

Gaiden is a set of OVA's released after Season 2 (Ryūsei no Gemini). As egoist said, it's set between the events after Kuro no Keiyakusha and Ryūsei no Gemini. It reveals how Yin was spoiler[captured by the organizatino (whose name escapes me atm.)] It's seperate from the volumes that you've watched.

Oh, that. Then you better not read that spoiler I just posted.

No, you haven't seen it on Netflix because it wasn't released in North America.

The gaiden has a chance to be dubbed, but as of it now it seems unlikely. FUNImation has acquired the license for Season 2 (Ryusei No Gemini) but they have not released the subbed or dubbed episodes yet. They're probably dubbing it as of now. I think they intend to release the episodes sometime this year.

That's the chronological order, but I'd hesitate to say it's the best. The element of mystery that comes from watching Gemini before Gaiden (which is the order they were released in) should be taken into consideration.

No, because there is absolutely no info on one. If there ever is, then it will surely be ANN front page material as with all new anime. You'll just have to wait like the rest of us.
