After watching the first episode of Kore wa Zombie Desu ka?, it seems to me to be a ripoff of Princess Resurrection. Not exactly of course, but and awful lot! Its the first thing that struck me and i am surprised its not in the ANN review.

Could you please elaborate on your point, for discussion's sake?

By the similarity of two harem shows with a zombie male lead, you mean, right? Even if Zombie weren't more of a parody on magical girl shows, there are only so many variations on the hero dieing in the first episode anime can do. It's not like reusing ideas is a new issue in fiction either.

OK, ill try and elaborate. I had forgotten the name of resurrection and when I started watching zombie I thought i had seen it before. I was thinking maybe it was a reboot or sequel to resurrection or something. After some searching i find that there two separate things. I was commenting on direct correlation as apposed to say zombie lead that Dorcas mentions. Goth/lolitas with chainsaws, zombie servant/slave, harem, I haven't watched much but i bet a wearwolf/robot/ect.. are going to join the cast.

I don't post often, and I'm not expecting a huge discussion. I guess it sort of struck me funny and i wanted to say something. Ehh... maybe its the chainsaws *shrug*.

A vampire does join, but how many series' out there have this kind of set-up of boy gets teamed up with a bunch of supernatural girls? Rosario + Vampire and Omamori Himari are two minus the zombie-male lead. You can't call something a rip-off just based on such basic similarities. "Code Geas ripped off Gundam because it has mechs and different factions fighting eachother in a big war." If you go by that kind of logic, then you can basically say everything made today rips off everything from the past. I've seen both shows in question (well, okay I could only stomach about 6 episodes of Princess Resurrection) and they are both extremely different in just about everything else; style, narrative, characterization, execution, etc.

Not quite a werewolf, but there is a ...... verbally abusive big breasted character, whoes cooking has supernatural properties.

Don't go into Kore wa Zombie Desu Ka thinking of how it is a rip off, it gets quite random, you said you saw the first episode. Well the two monsters that make an appearance are far off from being the strangest things to pop up, wait until you see the jellyfish or the really big flying one.

I have not seen Princess Resurrection, but I don't think had half the rediculous stuff. As for the harem, it is not quite straight, Yuu has circumstances, Haruna is a bit of an oddball, Sera spends a lot of time calling him "BLANK" and the last one, well sounds standard but is not. Just look in it for some fun, it pokes fun at itself, but does have a serious side too. Again if I had watched the other show I could probably compare better, but first episode is really only the tip of the iceburg.

Since it appears you are new to entertainment, allow me to spoil this bit of information for you: success breeds imitation.

Notice the statement used the word "seemed"? This is why it's not an identical repeat in story, but shares similar traits.

The anime industry, which is still a business and not a placating industry to individuals, will sell what they feel will make money.

This is why anything stamped with "Kyoto Animation" flies off the shelves upon release, even when 8 episodes seem to be a rip-off of each other.

They are very dif from each other,
that said it's what i think after seeing both,

How you ask? there is no blood warriors in Kore wa Zombie Desu Ka
Vampire ninja's exist in Kore while they do not in princess resurrection also the plots are no where near the same from show to show.

I could go on but have other things to do right now.
