An Anime you just couldn't watch. Im just wondering if this has happend to anyone else. Has there ever been a show that you just could not finish not because you did not like but because of what was happening in the show and the state it would put you in if you continued to watch the show. Im just wondering.

I think that happened once or twice. I'd be watching an anime and then it really touches me. I mean, it connected to me in an emotional level, like sadness , and i couldn't bare the thought of finishing it, or i didn't want to know what happened in fear of becoming even more emoitional envolved. Like Millinium Actress, Grave of the fire flies, or Voice from a distant star. Those were so good, so sad, that i became emotionaly connected and couldn't stand to finish them. of course i did severdays later when i though i could handle it.

I got halfway through the first episode of Bubblegum Crisis and said "Life is too short for this."
Obviously life isn't too short to make over a thousand posts on an anime messboard, though.

There were only three anime that I would never watch again: Cleopatra DC, aka Cleopatra D-cup around my house. It's just a really bad action anime with another big-chested action heroine from the nineties. I made the mistake of buying that one, what was I thinking? I also bought a few of the Angel Links DVDs because I kind of liked some of Outlaw Star. I watched about 5 episodes and realized it wasn't getting any better. And the dubbing was realy bad. I just didn't have the intestinal fortitute to sit through it again subbed. Lastly, the worst of them all. Super Milk Chan. I have yet to survive a complete episode, and I never will.

Reign: The Conqueror's art scared me when I watched it. I couldn't stand to watch it after fifteen minutes of one episode, it was just too much.
GTO was another one because I had read the manga far too many times, and I was just bored with it.

No, that has never happened to me. I mean, there are lots of anime out there that make me, a grown man, cry buckets full of tears, but I've always made myself finish them. Kimi ga Nozomu Ein for example, I watched that a few times already. Likewise with Grave of Fireflies. I made myself sit through that several times, and though each time I was hurt, I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

Let's see there's Soul Taker whos animation style annoyed me to no end, other than that I usually finish what I start unless it's absolutely terrible storywise, or I hate the characters. There's a few others which I don't plan to finish due to length and lack of money on my part, also.

I can't watch one episode of Dragonball Z or GT whatever it is. I hate it! Another is Earth Girl Arjuna and Peacemaker, they were just so boring and lame. I've never been in the case where i've found it too sad or I didn't want it to finish because i liked it soo much.

I really can't watch a show if it get's overhyped. I don't know why, but if something is overhyped, I pretty much just turn off my interest in that show.
This is why I can't watch Evangelion, Cowboy Bebop, Dragonball (Z, GT, whatever) Samurai Champloo and other hyped stuff easily.

My my, you are missing out!! Lol other than Dragonball Crapcake, Evangelion Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo are like my favourite anime series!! They have everything someone can ask for in anime! Those three are akk different genre: samurai, mecha and space! What exactly DO you watch then?

Mystery/Police Dramas. Hagure Kenji, that kinda stuff.
Anime wise, nothing in particular. if it appeals to me, it appeals to me. But somehow, overhyped stuff just makes me cringe.
This is why I have alot of venom against Cowboy Bebop and anyone even making some stupid reference to it in some way.
Of course, the odd thing is, any Anime that is lauded a/or scorned, I can easily watch with no problems.

Any of that edited crap on daytime TV. Too many episodes, Too childish, Too Censored, Too Butchered, Too much of a waste of time.
