Where are they going to broadcast it, the Funimation Channel.

There hasn't been new anime on U.S. broadcast television since Durarara!!.

Just because they have the rights doesn't mean they'll use them. This probably was just a package deal.

Read through to the last sentence: "Watch full episodes on www.funimation.com."

They picked up streaming rights. So they can stream it.

Remember that they now have a subscription premium streaming service including early access to dubs, and the way to get people to sign up for premium services is to have actual content available in return for the subscription.

The rest is like Chagen46 says ~ they'll want the digital distribution rights so they can sell episodes on the Xbox360 Network, PSN and iTunes, digital distribution goes along with all the other stuff as a package, since its not worth the lawyer's time to slice and dice the contract terms.

That is not broadcast, but streaming.

Chagen46 is probably right, it is a package deal, but there will probably be no actual broadcast on television.

"Probably"? Since they get broadcast rights to everything they license for physical distribution ("home entertainment" in the announcement). there is no special significance to the fact that they got broadcast rights for this title.

An announcement of rights would include all rights you've picked up as an across the board policy, since you send the same announcement to all potentially interested parties.
