Unfortunately, it appears to be a side-story only slightly related to the main anime storyline and featuring only one of the anime characters at present, with only cameos of others promised throughout the series.
Anyone hoping for a sneak peak as to wtf this series is going to be about before the anime comes out is in for disappointment.

The preview looks amazing for just a TV series, almost like movie production. We'll have to see how the story and char is when it comes out.
