Beyblade and Beyblade V Force was just telecast in India. I wanna say that i kinda liked both series even though it was kiddish. Im waiting for Beyblade G Revolution. What i wanna know is why the series is hated by so many people. The series is in the worst anime list. Someone please enlighten me.

its about spinning tops.
ohw can the world be in the hands of a spinning top? They could have chosen something more up to date over a really old toy...I have a hard time understanding why the world is on the line over cards...let alone spinning tops...
just dont play spinning tops and suddenly the bad guys have no power anymore.

One Word......
MERCHANDISING!!
Beyblade is another one of those Kiddie-Coccain-Animes where the main purpose of the show is just to get kids to spend more of their parents money. AND LOTS OF IT!!!!!!
Just like Pokimon, Yu-Gi-Oh and Transformers Armada.

thts painfully obvious, but if that was their angle they could have put up something with more marketability than spinning tops.
try shoes that give the wearer magic powers, you can sell them for £70 a pair...

but isn't yugioh different? the cards are based off the anime/manga, rather than pokemon where the anime is based off the game..

yes but why do they need to use something so clearly marketable in the first place?
they could have just given the people magical powers to summon these creatures and spell book to learn from rather than a card game. Now maybe when the manga was written the cards werent really a sale item in his/her mind but if not for the evident marketability of the cards themselves I doubt many animation studios would have picked it up in the US.

it wasn't , in the manga there are various games played, but the card game was the most popular
i agree the us market wouldn't have picked it up otherwise,
i admit, although yugioh orginally wasn't for marketing purposes, the anime has turned it into one (like the sequels, movies, all the filler, etc.)
