I'm about half way through the show now and I'm really enjoying it. I can't believe it's taken me so long to start watching it, I think I was slightly put off because it looked like it was aimed at girls more than guys... but I was wrong, and it's an excellent show.
Anyway there is a couple of things I don't understand that I thought I would ask your opinion of. Thanks! 1. How come on the planet (wherever Escaflowne is set) they can see Earth ("Mystic Moon") in the sky, but we can't see their planet from Earth? And it looks very close... it should be as close as the moon is to us. Maybe the planet is hidden in a giant invisible Guymelef cloak, eh? Ummm.. nah. 2. Although Van explained what they use Energists for, he didn't explain exactly what they are.. are they dragon hearts or something? If these things have been explained already I must have missed them. I'm on episode 13 now so if these things get explained later on then don't tell me... otherwise I'd appreciate anyones thoughts or views on these things. Thanks! |

It's been a while since I've seen it. Stupid me sold it away for whatever reason was going through my feeble mind. But, if I remember correctly, your questions will be answered in later episodes.

erm in answer to the dragon question i always thought they were kinda dragon spirits, thats what i thought anyway. what always got me was why were the dragons drawn in some crazy way. they looked really werid.

1. There's really no answer to this, other than the fact that this is anime, and thus regular logic does not apply.
2. I can't be sure, since they never specifically say, but I always figured that the energists were a part of the dragon's heart, since Van pulls his from slicing open that dragon in the heart area. |

I'm not sure if this is a spoiler or not, but spoiler[maybe it was due to the draconis' magic because theyd dint want the people of earth to see it because they created gaea to escape earth didn't they?] Again, I'm not sure... |
