We haven't had a new column in two weeks now.

I announced the change on Twitter earlier this week, but no announcement had yet been made on the site.

Brian Hanson is retiring from the column; his final installment will run tomorrow at the usual time. Justin Sevakis will be taking over Answerman with a new, stripped-down format (meaning no more Answerfans) and a focus on industry-related questions that few people other than Justin can actually answer. Justin's first Answerman column runs next Friday.

Wow! I wasn't expecting that. I hope it wasn't because of all the piss and vitriol he sometime got because of his answers. I'll miss ya Brian. Live long and prosper.

I don't use Twitter but thanks for the heads-up.

I'm gonna miss Answerfans. Sad I loved reading other marks' views on anime and manga.

What a bummer. Gonna miss Brian.

...although now I'm really looking forward to burying Justin in a blizzard of gossipy CPM/John O'Donnell questions...

Aw, sorry to hear that. We'll miss you as Answerman, Brian. Sad

Good luck with your new position as the new Answerman, Justin! Hope it all goes well! Very Happy
