The big question now is what can substitute for the San Diego Convention Center if they can't hold ComicCon there? Las Vegas? They have the facilities, but I don't know if people want to experience 110 °F. temperatures in the daytime during the summer....

i think anaheim or l.a. was also in the running, imo comic con belongs in san diego and it wont be the same somewhere else. san diego will be making a huge mistake if they let comic con go

Both LA and Anaheim wouldn't work for Comic-Con though. They don't have the same amount of function space/square footage as the SDCC. The organization behind Comic Con already brought WonderCon to Anaheim so that's already out of the question. Also with LA planning to reduce the size of their convention center to make room for a football stadium (even though they don't have a team officially signed on), it just complicates things.
