Well, that is unexpected. I'd be interested in seeing this. Parasyte was a really good science fiction manga, and it'll be interesting to see how it translates into film. Presumably, the budget will be next to nil, so I wonder how they'll handle the parasites (who can morph pretty freely, like the Migi is always morphing Shinichi's arm).

Holy nostalgia!
Read that back in the day in Tokyopop's Mixxzine starting in the first issue... still have them,a bizarre mix of seinen and shoujo with Parasyte horror and Sailor Moon and Clamp's RayEarth:
Of course these were the bad old days of left to right manga so it was named Lefty... when it was actually his right hand in the Japanese version! And all the names were changed... blah... so much better today.

Anime would have been preferable but I'm also a big fan of Japanese live action films; the director's not too bad either.
