So now that Eureka 7 is over I saw that the new/old show that will be shown is Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, but from my understandings they showed that in 2004. If so why aren't they going to air a new series. I'm not saying that Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex was a bad series. I just want them to do something else. I know that they already have it set up where there's no changing what the show that is now set up but I would have prefered them to do a new series like s-CRY-ed. Now that is just an example of an anime that they might be able to air. In fact I dought that many of you even know what that is. I'm just saying they have a lot of anime to chose from yet they chose one we've already seen. That is the same with Dragon Ball Z except that's with toonami. Now I know that I wrote in a different thread that I was looking forward to watching Dragon Ball Z and that is true yet they still could have chosen a different anime to watch. I would just like to know how everyone feels about the subject.

They've actually had S cry ed on the air a few times in the past few years.

Anyways, I wouldn't mind seeing Gits, since I never saw it the first time it aired.

Umm... [AS] has been playing GitS off and on for years now. Later at night, but still showing. Last time I watched [AS] which was probably just a month or so ago, GitS was on.

It's actually the 2nd GitS series that's airing next week, but after looking up [AS]'s schedule, it says that it's already been aired before even still. If it were the first, I'd probably be okay with it since I haven't seen either GitS series yet, but can't really see the 2nd one when you haven't even seen the 1st, so I'd say I'm a little disappointed.

Also, once Samurai Champloo is done with it's repeat run in a few weeks, It says now that they're planning on repeating Trinity Blood. I mean, I have to agree, they really do need to get some new shows on there.

My guess to the reason why they don't is probably because they seem to bring in new shows at each new season, being both Fall and Spring so as to follow the Japanese way of doing TV seasons, but this spring they've already come out with a new show in Blood + and don't feel like they need to bring in any more this season. Although I'd like to see them bring in at least one more series this season anyways.

They were running the first season of SAC on Adult Swim Mon. through Thur. until just recently. I hope they run the second season. It will save me from having to netflix it. Smile
I can understand why people who have already seen it would want something new though.

Well I guess that means I can finally see the entire second season of Gits...so I am relatively happy about it. Very Happy

Well I think it is safe to say one of the new anime on AS this fall will be Death Note so AS is probably buying time until then.

NO! Trinity Blood is coming back on?! But they were going to show Cowboy Bebop in that timeslot! I was looking forward to seeing that series through for the first time!

Forget new anime. I'd just like to finish anime they've already shown like Wolf's Rain and Eureka 7! I hate these long serial anime because they are so hard to follow on TV! They now have two 50ish-episode series, Blood+ and Eureka 7, and two neverending series, Bleach and Inuyasha, in rotation. I'm a completist when it comes to watching anime series and love to watch them from start to finish. If I miss an important episode, I either have to wait 20+ weeks to watch it on TV again or find other ways to "acquire" it (and yes, my VCR is broken). I actually prefer the shorter series because I could finish them on TV in one or two rotations, or shows I can watch in any order that aren't as plot-heavy like Samurai Champloo or Inuyasha. Otherwise, Adult Swim could show their anime more than once a week, giving me a better chance to catch them.

I'm kinda glad they're re-running 2nd Gig, i missed the last episode last time around (I have a bad record with that sort of thing, same thing happened the first time through Paranoia Agent). Anyways, it's better than rerunning something like Bebop, FLCL, or Trigun for the umpteenth time, although, sure, there are tons of other shows they could be first-running instead.

i'm very different from Rakushun.

i wish they never do reruns. if you missed it, you will have to buy the dvd.

This way also force them to get more new series. if they are going to have re-run please wait until you finished the show first. And pelase put those reruns on a -- errr -- reruns slot? like 11am to 3pm which nobody watches tv at that time.

certain time slots should always have new show all the time. For example, If the current show ends, they would replace it with a new show. mayeb it has something to do with i'm Asian. We hate reruns.

I really hope they could re-run eureka 7 on weekdays instead of countless inuyasha. i mean we dont need a whole inu-hour!
but alias....i know they only rerun anime that brings ratings. eureka only did well with hardcores and some others. GITS obvisously did well more than trinty blood and eureka and stuff.

plus AS did get shin chan on a permanent basis now so that counts as something new.

plus plus theres adult swim on demand that reruns inu, paranoia agent, GITS and just added eureka 7 last week. so they do get a second chance...just not in a linear feed.

I thought at one point they were in negotiations with Funimation for Witchblade, I don't know how that went though. I'd certainly like to see the rest of that one. Death Note I'd also take as I haven't seen that.

They could also air Ergo Proxy and Scrapped Princess which are highly excellent and the kind of stuff that's done well on AS before.

I really care for [AS] and really do not watch any of the anime its show now. And when its come on now I just sigh and turn the channel. Like someone have already said they show more anime on Toonami. They show more anime that I am interested in than [AS]. The only anime that I watch on [AS] is Bleach and I Tivo that. Why should I stay up so freaking late for anime reruns where I can catch titles that I want on a DVD and watch its on mine own accord.
