omg, JUST A WAYyyyyyyyy. Yamatoya-san was always my favorite of the gintama writers XDDD (and for his work in other series like digimon savers)
Awesome.

Every time the announcer says Just a way I giggle like a stupid girl.

After I finished busted a gut laughing, I was disappointed the commentator wasn't speaking Japanese. That would have been even more meta Laughing

I had seen news about this and thought the name was funny because it was a Gintama character, but I didn't realize the horse belonged to one of the series' writers.

$5 million is ok.

Since Just A Way's has the Pedigree, (His Grandfather is Wild Again from Kentucky. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wild_Again), the real money will come when the horse is retired and ready to have alot of sex.

By the way, the horse not only won the race, but also set a current time record on the track.

Cool story!

Wow, Gintama screenwriters must be very well paid if they can afford a racehorse. Owning the horse itself is like the opposite of Madao's situation!

I have to admit this is a funny story. I wonder if this will pop up in one of his works at some point.
