Sadly, aside from Kenshin, Watsuki's other manga never do well.
From what I heard, Buso Renkin only sold ok, and Gun Blaze West sold even worse, and since Embalming isn't even that popular in Japan...

I wouldn't necessarily say Embalming has no chance. Probably not, but just because it sells bad in Japan, it could do well here. Barrage had a decent following, for example.

This seems to be the case. I feel bad for Watsuki: his first work was a worldwide hit, but everything else a) is compared to it, and comes up short, or b) has undeniable problems of its own.
