OMG That's awesome! I've missed hearing Kouichi's amazing voice and voice acting skills! So glad he's back! Very Happy I'm sure he will do great as Corazon! Can't wait for this episode now! Razz

It was announced on the official (Japanese) One Piece website after all, and even a mute character needs a voice actor. Wink

And if people don't read OP weekly already, I guess they either wouldn't notice the news, or care about a relatively minor spoiler anyway.

That said, I'm so happy for this seiyuu choice! Yama-chan is one of the best voice actors in Japan (he also dubbed many roles in Disney movies), so we OP fans couldn't really ask more for such an awesome character--one of the best in the whole manga, imho, which is amazing considering for how long One Piece has been going on. Very Happy
Oda doesn't cease to impress me even after all these years... Actually, there are many things I like more now in the manga than in the few first story arcs!

Speaking as a non-manga reader...it's One Piece. Pretty much every significant friendly character has a tragic backstory. People tend to talk in them. We know how it works by now. Razz

Yamadera is probably the most talented voice artist in Japan. Also they're changing the openings really quick now.

I'm pretty sure they're not changing opening it's referring to how Corazon appears in the opening that started up recently.

It always confused me how One Piece has so few openings, one a year or so, but Fairy Tail gets a new one about every 12 episodes.

Different shows, different sponsors, different preferences (more emphasis on musical element, more emphasis on product placement, etc).
