With how long they've made us wait and keep us waiting, the animation quality better be damn near theatrical lmao. I don't want to see a single badly animated episode.

If only those kind of expectations applied to SMC. I guess the west will have to wait for the Japan premiere before we get anything on the anime. |

Thank god they're using the proper theme. That last promotional video was [expletive] terrible!

So while the OP is a pretty fantastic remake of the classic Lupin theme, the ED is an inner exploration/conflict song? possibly from the POV of the new female protagonist?
I dig it! it's fits neatly with the new series harkening back to the 70's era of anime, and how many of the shows from that time had an upbeat/sad dichotomy to there OP's and ED's. While it usually wasn't really indicative of the story, some of them really worked to give their heroes/heroines depth beyond what anime at the time was allowed to show. Like a personal favorite of mine, Yogiri no Honey |

Oh wow, that Italian opening is just... really really bland. Well, I hear that group is popular over there, so at least that should attract some attention for the series.

The series would have attracted attention anyway, since Lupin II is huge here. I will watch the Japanese version anyway so I don't care, but it's a shame that we got such an awful OP for a series so loved over here, considering that most of the previous openings were actually good (and I'm not even a fan of Italian OPs in general, old or new, so go figure). Anyway, the animation and character design look fantastic, so I can't wait to watch this! ^^ |
