Hmm. With a new team coming on, and these better character designs, maybe I'll give the new season a shot.

Kind of find the designs not that much different overall. Mainly the difference in less detail and younger looking than the other style.

Although Sailor Mars's pose looks awkward, I do find the new younger-looking character designs to be better than the old ones.

This is my favorite season so I can't wait to see if they can do a good story, but I don't like these character designs. In these images they all look off. It looks like Pretty Cure. I prefer the season 1 character designs and wish they kept that style for this season since I was interested in seeing the outers in that style. It feels like in this style they all look like kids(except for Pluto and her nose looks off) which is their target audience so they have that in their favor.

I'm just surprised that they are bringing back Sailor Pluto since Pluto isn't technically a planet anymore according to NASA.

And sometimes they flip-flop saying it is and it isn't depending on the researcher.
 But what's interesting is that there are new planets being discovered, so if they ever decide to make more story beyond the source material, they certainly add more sailors.

Does anyone remember the scenes when Pluto spoiler[dies]? That was the design that should have had been: more mature and full of details. That is the reason why Sailor Moon Crystal was created: a revisitation of the show more faithful of the story and the manga style. So, this design is nonsense.[/spoiler]

Maybe Stars doesn't address this in the 90s anime? In the manga, it's confirmed that all kinds of celestial bodies have a senshi. It's entirely plausible that Pluto is a senshi. There are all kind of senshi out there. In the manga, weren't the fish aliens even implied, if not stated, to have a senshi? I like the designs, but I really want Yukie Sako's designs to come back later. If not, less round and cutesy style, more sleek, elegant, shojo stuff. ♥ Oh goodness, especially for Stars. /swoon |
