Part 2 is a wild ride and i love it. I think Joseph really shines in this volume, with that genuinely hilarious sequence where he tries to fake being knocked out
I 100% agree with the reviewer about Lisa Lisa; it's striking how cool she is, even compared to the other female characters in later parts of JJBA. Araki talks about how rare good female characters were "back then", but even he didn't get around to writing another decent one until Part 6, decades later. Lisa Lisa is awesome, and one of my favorite characters of the series.
And yeah, the sympathetic Nazis are a bit laughable, but don't you know that German medical science is the best in the world?!?!

These hardcover Jojo volumes are utterly beautiful; I hope sales are strong enough that they all get released here in the US (and I wish they came out more often, too!). I will say that in this volume Araki's art is in an interesting place; terrible and amazing, often on the same page. Check out the panel where Jojo's sneaking toward the mine cart and has three legs...

Yup, got my copy on monday. I'm overjoyed with Jojos continued popularity in the western market and these Jojonium HC's are gorgeous as well.
