Would have been nice to see what it is exactly, lol. But hey, since I've enjoyed both the Manga/Anime versions of Midori Days, maybe something similar to that would work for this new story in a situation like this, but I guess we'll find out sooner or later.

Man, I was in Japan in 2003 or 2004, bought an issue of Shounen Sunday, and was immediately like wtf?! when I got to Midori Days. Maybe it's an enjoyable one, but it's really bizarre if you stumble on a random chapter.

... and as for "Love Collage"/Ai Kora, it's... right, they were two great "romantic comedy" chapters in the middle and that's about it. If it stopped there, it would have been good. It didn't and it actually made those two chapters meaningless.

To be honest, I don't follow this premise at all. Will it be "Gokusen goes to high school" or is it "Kashimashi smashy"? Neither idea seems very heartfelt or heroic to me.

If it was a guy who got "plastic surgery" to go to high school as a girl then...
But if it's a woman who got it, well...
And if "the boss" was high school age, regardless of sex or looks, but went through it anyway...

"Beautiful face, wicked heart"? No matter what, this makes the guy who can only see women for their parts or the guy with his right hand as his girlfriend seem, well, sweet.

In case it's not clear what the "scary organization" is supposed to be, the title is a play on Shitei Bōryokudan ("designated violent group"), which is the official police/media euphemism for the more influential Yakuza families.

He has made stranger things work really well. I mean, Midori Days shouldn't have been as good as it was, the premise seems so "out there" but he made it heart warming and endearing. I wouldn't count this is one out on the basic of the premise considering it's his manga.

2 of his most recent works (Mahou no Iroha and Ane Komi) haven't reached the sheer fun of Midori no Hibi or Ai Kora. Still, he's at his best when he uses badass protagonists, so this might be good.

Midori Days has been something I've been meaning to check out myself, but haven't gotten around to it.

Hmm, this new series sounds just as weird as Midori Days did to me, when I first heard of it. But, seeing as I've not read/watched gender-bender manga/anime, it'd be my unfamiliarity leading to it sounding strange to me. Laughing

Meh, the plot setting reminds me with manga Pretty Face
Nothing new but I guess I will check it anyway.
