This main theme of this anime is about soccer.
It was about this guy who was playing in the national japan team and he went back to his former soccer club where he trained when he was young. He spotted a talented guy and told him to train with his LEFT FOOT ( he was right footed). As i rmb, the national player soon died after a car crash/hear disease. Thanks |

the anime is fantasy theme, with people having these miniature statues in which they use in combination with a chant..and it turns into an armor and mount kinda thing for them...each person has their own one..the story begins with these evil guys turning the god athena into stone, and killing all the good followers of athena...and the main character's best friend i think turned into a bad guy...the anime kinda looks like gundam with all those armor stuff..this anime is REALLY old..probably at least 8yrs+...saw this a long time ago..thanks for the help!

I haven't seen this series myself but could you be thinking of Saint Seiya? |

It sounds more like Tenku Senki Shurato. The key difference here is the miniature armor. Saint Seiya armors are full sized in statue form, which the saint carries in a large box on his back. Shurato armors are miniatures in their inactive form and worn in the belt. Other points also point in favor of Shurato: The plot of turning the goddess into a statue is in Shurato but not Saint Seiya. SS attacks are performed by crying on the name only, whereas Shurato attacks are prefaced by a chant.
Here's another mystery. Unfortunately, I'm not quite sure whether this is Korean or Japanese. The main character is a superhero of a peculiar type. He, and his associates and rival, are young. He is dressed white clothes, with a blue visor, yellow cape, yellow gloves, and yellow boots. Above the visors is a yellow adornment rather like the cutting end of a pair of scissors. In front of his chest is a screen, on which it is displayed hands making the shapes of rock-scissor papers. In fact, his super powers involve forming material and gigantic hands in the shape of rock-paper-scissor gestures, which can fly and are quite powerful, and his friends can give him power by player games of rock-scissor-papers. If they do while he's fighting, then a golden ball of light appears in the middle of the rock-scissor-papers game and flies towards the hero to give him power. His rival is similarly attired, switching the white clothes for grey, yellow gloves and such for black, and the transparent blue visor for an opaque black one, like a large pair of sunglasses. The rival has no super powers but relies on wealth and his mechanical prowess to try to take down the hero. |

I've seen one ep of Shurato (thought it was good) but it does sound like it might fit with your description, entice.

ok, i've seen the mederator posts about finding your own anime, thats fine. i can do that, I've found plenty of anime. however, im up to the point where im watching anime very quickly, and getting through a whole series in just 2-3 days.
so while looking for more anime to watch, i suddenly remembered watching the first episode of an anime that was being advertised and streamed on animenewsnetwork a few months ago (possibly longer). the anime was new at the time (but the manga wasn't). It started out with a girl that was about 10-15 years old, she went with her father to his work one day. while he was testing out an experiment, a ball of energy struck the young girl, making her disapear for a moment. she then returned, however as a different person (same body). she then struggled to remember things and slowly lived in peace (kinda). several years later, she became a mercenary. she also had strange powers, like being able to materialize into energy and go through solid objects. the 2nd episode was supposed to be her finding a lost friend (possibly a lover?). if anyone recognizes this anime, although my description might be wrong in some ways, please post back. in accordance of the runles of the forum, I am NOT looking for streams or downloads to this anime. All i would like is the name of the anime. Thanks in advance |

I was just on YouTube and saw an AMV that used footage from a series called Tales of the Abyss or at least that was maker said that was one of the titles used.
I looked in the Encyclopedia and did not see it under that title - unless I'm blind and completly missed it. Is it that name or does it use another title that I obviously don't know about? Here's the AMV just in case. |

Tales of the Abyss is a videogame, an entry in the Tales series by Namco. Some of the entries in the series have anime adaptations, but I believe Abyss isn't one of them. However, a number of entries have FMVs in the style of anime, which accounts for your confusion.

I need help identifying this anime movie I read about once on Wikipedia. I forgot the name though. I think it was a very popular or highly rated movie when it was shown in theaters. The story was about a woman from the city in Japan riding on a train to the countryside town she was born in and while on the train ride she starts to reminisce about her high school life in that small country town and the theme is of a coming of age while showing her past and how she's changed and grown since then. I think the anime movie was made like a biography of the author's life story.
If this sounds familiar to anyone can you tell me the name? I fell pretty confident if I see the pictures from that anime I can recognize it. |

The plot sounds similar to Only Yesterday, though some of the details are a bit different.

Ok, this is going to be a tricky question. I've been searching for the answer for about 6 years...If you can please help!!!
First of all, it was a movie (I think). Twins, a boy and a girl, seperated in birth, in a planet much like earth though I trully think it wasn't named like that. The boy is raised by the mother and lives in the palace (???) and the girl is raised as a thief and beggar or anyhow eventually becomes one. I think the girl had blond hair. There is a giant female (if I remember correctly) statue which controls some kind of little spider-like robots who turn all the people into androids or robots or whatever you may call them. The boy finds the girl though they do not know at first their relationship. They have a power. They can use their inner power by stretching out in front of them their fists (???) and some kind of energy comes out of their fingers. In the end the civilization is overrun by the robots, no humans remain (at least that's what I remember) and the twins get inside a spaceship (don't remember if it was the statue i mentioned before...hmmm) and land on a different planet at the bottom of a sea or ocean. There they hold hands and the last thing I remember is that I had a feeling about evolution, as if they created life on that planet somehow. Anyway I love this movie and I really really want to see it again. It's been 14 years since I last watched it.... |
