I don't get it. Stage plays are always on point with the costumes and such but live actions are not. WHY!?!

Well, the visual photography always try to make the costumes as close as possible to the manga/anime, but on the stage usually they will alter the costumes a bit so that it's easier for them to move, run, and fight on stage without hurting them.
About why movies costumes are not as good as the stageplay, well, maybe the same reason as why stageplay is ALWAYS better than the live action movies/drama

i think theres a growing sentiment that movies need to look "real" while stage play can be more cartoonish, thats why this look more faithfull
