I love this manga and i would like to thank Ryōko Kui for her work on making a funny and delicious manga. Hopefully Yen Press publish later volumes since Laius and his crew cook more bizarre foods and we learn more about the dungeon.

This was a fun and easily recommendable first volume. Delicious in Dungeon is exactly the sort of wacky series that shows what manga can do - and why I have a preference for it over North American comics.
It's funny, engaging and uses tropes in a way that makes them zanier than they normally are. Altogether it's a fantastic first volume that only suffers from some minor art issues (the backgrounds mentioned in the review), but can't be held down by them.

I have no doubt that Yen Press will continue releasing volumes of this series. It's got a pretty vocal fanbase and I don't remember the last time Yen Press dropped a series.

I've followed this over last couple years before it was released in the US.
This is a great story, it gets better in time. Detail work improves greatly as chapters rolls by and the plot gets thicker as it moves on.
It's worth every penny.

I've been following Dungeon Meshi's translated chapters and been liking it a lot. Its take on RPG tropes and humor between more serious moments works well. And yes the plot does progress and expand (as does the cast) so we're not left with just monster-of-the-week recipes volume after volume. Highly recommended.
