Quote:
Tohru Furuya (Yamcha)

Must have been hard for him to attend the funeral. Not only were Yamcha and Bulma a nice couple early on in the Dragonball universe, but Furuya and Tsuru voiced Kyosuke and Madoka from KOR as well; arguably one of the most romantic 80s anime couple out there.

R.I.P. Tsuru-san.

Nice to see so many people gather there. They all loved Hiromi. Nice DB quote from Nozawa.

It's said that so many seiyuu who were active in the '80s are gone. A lot of DB seiyuu have passed away, Yanami is unable to work anymore because of his health, leaving Nozawa as the only one of the very early days of DB in the cast. Of course, Mami Koyama, Tohru Furuya and etc. are still around, but they weren't present in the first episode. Nozawa's husband Masaaki Tsukuda died a few years too. It must be really tough for her the last years, especially since she is one of the oldest cast members.

Masaka Nozawa knew exactly what say at the funeral of her longtime friend and co-star. Good for her.

Oh wow, it's been a rough night. First I found out that the Cranberries' lead vocalist Dolores O'Riordan passed away today and now I reminded of Hiromi Tsuru. Powerful words by Masako Nozawa and a touching celebration of her life.

That's a powerful thing to say. Nozawa-san couldn't have made that without cracking tears I'll bet. I hope she, Nakao-san, and all the other seiyū who worked with Hiromi over the years remember her fondly and also hope that wherever Hiromi is now, she'll look back at all she has left behind and smile fondly. Goodbye and rest peacefully.
