So is this going to be a new anime? I wasn't expecting new Mospeda to be announced in 2020. I wonder how the controversies around the Robotech license will effect this. But I remember it was a couple years ago Harmony Gold released a dub of the Love Live Alive OVA.

Watch Harmony Gold snap this up, hackjob it and call it a new Robotech movie
I can already see it, Shadow Chronicles sequel or something with the plot still being "we gotta find Rick!!!" and a bunch of footage from the old series spliced in haphazardly. |

This is a Tatsunoko IP so it shouldn't have the same legal issues with getting licensed outside Japan as there are with Macross.
Whether or not Harmony Gold gets it is another matter because as mentioned, it wasn't that long ago where they got the Love Live Alive OVA from them and dubbed that for DVD. |
