Great game and I’m glad Sega is finding additional success by licensing it on Stadia, can’t say Stadia interests me in the slightest but I hope more users can enjoy an extremely polished and enjoyable game which should be perfect even on a streaming device.

I’d follow up with “Valkyria Chronicles 5 when”, but I think what I’d really like to see from this franchise is some kind of remake/rescue of VCs 2 and 3, which came out for the PSP and changed the gameplay to better suit the limited mobile device. Now that the franchise is back on full-size consoles, and the best mobile console is also a de facto TV-based console (I’m talking about the Switch obviously), these two games are seemingly lost to time. Yet they had so much design work, writing, and wonderful original soundtracks by Hitoshi Sakimoto, it seems crazy to just let all that work be lost. It’s not right that the much maligned Valkyria Revolutions is more readily available than VC3. So yeah, I think what I want more than VC5 is for Sega to go back and reuse the VC 2 and 3 story and assets, but rebuild the gameplay atop the existing VC4 engine. That would get the whole franchise on modern consoles, and (assuming they finally localize VC3 in the process), get JP and international gamers on the same page.

Not new new story content, just all the DLC, including some that was initially only available with the expensive limited edition.

I mean in the interest of fairness that was localized unlike 3.

Japan has/had a card game based on the IP among other things I don’t think we’ll ever all be on the same page
