Oh I am surprised that the news article does not mention it, in the news source and the live stream, the Overdress first season will run 12 episodes starting from April 3rd, and second season with 13 episodes will start on October 2021 (basically confirming split-cour)

I love CLAMP and I enjoy what I've seen of Cardfight Vanguard but this is a kind of random crossover. Is it just me or does it seem like CLAMP has been doing design work for a lot of anime more often lately?

It likely will. This is clearly meant to be a big relaunch. If was effectively filler. Whether or not it'll remain with Blue Water is another story.
Given they seem to be targeting different age demos, probably. You don't do a seasonal anime if you're aiming for kids. |

Given yugioh's long history of including 'Yu' in its protagonist names, it's kind of surprising Vanguard was the first card game anime to feature a Yu-yu. How's yugioh supposed to live that down?
