Overseas viewers are turning away from the current Swordsmith arc, but in its home market viewer ratings remain strong. Doesn't mean a thing if it doesn't translate into strong home video sales which will determine the budget for future adaptations, since streaming revenue from entitled overseas viewers doesn't have the margins home video sales do.
Still a big ask for this series to buck the trend of declining home video sales in Japan to make enough to convince Ufotable to finish the entire franchise.
