| Quote: | | While this flashback is revealed to be Loid having a nightmare about his past, which is always a clunky literary device | On the contrary, Loid passing out and having a PTSD flashback from Anya's Tonitrus Bolt is straight-up hilarious. His past is nothing to laugh at though, especially how it came out during the earlier months of the war in Ukraine.

This is a great run of chapters in the series. One of the smaller aspects of it that I like is that we also see how Franky and Loid actually meet, before they become friends. It's a small thing, but it made me appreciate Franky a LOT more as a great supporting character; it really shows him as an intelligent thoughtful person, already considering the war from a more complex and nuanced view then Loid was ready to think about.

I'm glad to see this was finally made into a Takōbon because this is what we needed. This and one of the arcs that come after this volume will hit hard as hell.
