No offense to Mr. Dastmalchian, but he'll never give us a performance like Raul Julia.
I'm honestly surprised by some of the casting in this film. Both Akuma and Dan are Asian in the series canon, yet neither of them are being portrayed by Asian actors. This isn't the sort of thing we typically see out of Hollywood. |

It's one thing to white wash, it's another to cast Andrew Schulz. This movie is pretty deliberately trying to attract MAGA nutjobs, which historically in terms of creativity, has always worked so well. |

Honestly, I'm fine with the original Street Fighter movie. It may have been bollocks, but part of the fun was it being bollocks. Besides, we're talking about characters that can cast fireballs, extend limbs, and perform combos in the air for a full minute if you have the skill. This damn thing is, was and always will be a cartoon. Just admit it.

I just hope they pronounce Ryu's name correctly this time. Sure are enough dubbed video games and anime out there to help people to get it right. Even as recent as an SNL sketch last year we still heard Ryu's name pronounced the wrong way.
I loved the Street Fighter Assassin's Fist series. That's live action Street Fighter for me. Wish they just gave that team all of the Fight Money and let them make a feature length film. |

Assassin's Fist was fun, my only issue was the Mega Man 2 reference but it's a small matter. A shame that a sequel for that never happened. |

Yes it is or rather it’s something you see out of studio that doesn’t care about having ethnic characters played by actors that match the ethnicity or nationality of the actor. |
