Even if it's just a movie, it's amazing to see so many returning faces, both in the staff and cast! I'm really excited to see how the movie turns out, and hopefully it'll get some kind of distribution over here too.
Hearing Fuyuki and Keroro speak in the PV... They've still got it.

I'm kind of sad that this isn't a new long-running TV anime, but it's better than nothing.

Kadokawa focusing on recruitment and training is expected. Increasing their film output was part of the plan, so these movie projects aren’t surprising. Kadokawa starting their own animator school with their education business feels like a long-term play. They clearly want to secure talent for their studios.

KERORO MY LOOOOOVE
The movies are so inherent to the anime (and manga) that I'm genuinely frustrated that Discotek went through all that trouble to get the whole series out on SD-BD, but none of the films... I'm still holding out hope! This film would be a great opportunity to do that!

It’s interesting how Kadokawa isn’t just announcing projects but actually working on talent development. The new animator school shows they’re thinking ahead.

In a way I'm glad given how watered down the Rumiko Takahashi reboots have been. At least with a movie they might be able to get across some of the more risquer parts of the manga. And the idea of a 350 episode anime coming out in 2025 seems pretty grim.

I'm actually really excited about this being the Gintama movie's director. Even the teaser was playing off that (saing the hero isn't a hero, gold haired punk or from the yorozuya). In the official site, he talks about how he liked how far the show seemed to get with parodies at times and he's really excited to work on it himself. I always thought the first 250 or so episodes of the Gintama anime were funnier than the manga, and this director seemed to pick the best elements from the anime to keep in his movie, rather than doing a direct manga adaptation.
Aside from that, I really hope some kind of animated female Keroro makes it in here. There have been several Kemono Friends collabs in mobage and also the V-Tuber story in the manga.
(This image was included in the Keroro manga as a volume bonus)
The fact they kept female Giroro's VA's name a secret in the Kemono Friends 3 mobile game has made me think they're saving her reveal for some actual Keroro feature.

Oh, that would certainly be interesting.
I'm glad to see more Keroro in any form though. It's one of my favorite anime of all time.
