I guess it was about time for a new Cyborg 009 anime...probably featuring an entirely new voice cast...

Well, it seems that everytime a new 009 anime gets made it always has a brand new cast, same thing with international dubs, though in the Latin American Spanish dub of Call of Justice, Cyborg 006's voice actor from the 2001 version, Perdro D'Aguillon Jr., reprised his role, but sadly he passed away a couple of years ago, so if this new anime gets dubbed into Spanish 006 would need a new VA, though surprisingly 006's dub VA from the second 1960s movie is still active

Wonder if it's gonna be a direct sequel to the Skull Man anime.

Recently, the first ED from the 2001 series has been randomly coming up if I leave YouTube on auto-play. (I don't know why; it's not even a very good song imo.) So because of that, I've actually been thinking about Cyborg 009 for the first time in a very long time recently.

I NEED more Cyborg 009 content, especially if it's more like "Cyborg 009 vs Devilman" and less "009 Re:Cyborg."

I hope this gains a following in the west so we can legally get the 60s anime. Yes i am aware that some people they'll see a character who looks like they are doing blackface but all the distributor would have to do before it is put a short disclaimer explaining the historical context as many people are ignorant to looking up when things got made. In no way do i approve racist imagery but i believe art should be preserved in as close to their original form & have context provided so people who complain something is offensive can understand that it was common place during the time o the artistic work's creation. I have a collection of old ww2 cartoons & movies that make fun of Japan, Germany, & sometimes even Italy on many DVDs not because i intend to offend but instead I have them because i like studying the cinematography of them.

I'd rather they not do that since the Ishinomori Manga Museum doesn't feel the need to put out any disclaimers or act ashamed when they celebrate Ishinomori's art or Pyunma in general. They proudly display him with his pre-Jeff Segal'd design there and sell merch of his Ishinomori design with no issue. If people dislike Ishinomori's original art that much they should stick with the modern interpretations of the series rather than demand the original address their own hang-ups.
