Wait. "Her girfriend"? So Gero's sister is explictly lesbian? . Wow,. Wasn't expecting that in a Shonen Jump (or Jump + I guess) adaptation. This kind of anime don't tend to be explicit about homosexuality

Finally! I freaking love the manga and with Bones doing the animation I have faith the adaptation will be good.

Yep, MCs sister is explicitely lesbian. And "main heroine" is of ambigous gender. Some people will be annoyed

Yup. And that's a big part of the first episode.
And then there is the Kinosaki brothers issue.
I am very glad we're having an adaptation, I am enjoying reading this week by week, even with the extra chapters.

I enjoyed this manga but when you have harem, you have losers and that is what will bring it down for me

Between Gachiakuta and now Marriage Toxin, Bones seems covered for a post-MHA world.
But yeah, really happy such a great studio is handling a manga series I love and with perfect casting for both Gero and Kinosaki. I can't wait for anime-onlies to get introduced to Kinosaki!
Also it's funny how Shion Wakayama is once again the co-lead in a crazy Battle Shonen with a lot of romance.

What really surprised me about this series is how past heroines aren't just forgotten and later appear again in the story.
Oh, and how all the action scenes kinda remind me of GetBackers with how anyone can randomly have special skills and powers.

For people who read the manga and using spoiler tags, is marriagetoxin.fandom.com/wiki/Mei_Kinosaki in giving Mei he/him pronouns? Then again, such sites and pages at times make things up.

I will quote the character Mei Kinosaki in the first chapter: "I am a man"

I honestly don't really remember what pronoun is used for Kinosaki, seems pretty rare for the characters in the story to use pronouns for Kinosaki. I think I remember an occasion from the Manga Plus English translation where they use he/him, and at some point she/her (since some comments pointed it out). And I suppose it's not a widely-known fact other those close to him, even though he doesn't keep it a secret, just characters new to Kinosaki assuming he's a girl from his appearance. But if you're interested in the story, Kinosaki said himself that he's a guy early into the story, that's the only instance where readers are informed of his gender. No visual cues or other confirmation from other characters (none who knows for sure), other than either to believe or doubt his tatement. Some readers theorise that he's not telling the truth (especially since his situation may call for it, him seemingly avoiding getting asked out/being in a relationship or some still mysterious past that could make him rather identify as a guy), so people say it's still ambiguous.
