My husband bought the first two volumes of Tokyo Revengers. It was his very first exposure to manga. He likes the story and wants to read more, but he discovered afterwards there are a little over 30 volumes before the story fully closes. (Yep, naive thinking
So he wants to know: is there a decent point earlier in the story where an arc 'wraps up' so he can at least read some more and leave the story with a satisfying conclusion? He would want to buy more volumes but not 25 or so of them. Thanks in advance! |

I've not read or seen any of Tokyo Revengers, but I often find Fandom Wiki pages to be very good at breaking arcs down by chapter (and name). The only downside to these Fandom Wikis is that they're chock-full of ads. I recommend using Firefox as your browser and installing extensions for NoScript and AdBlockPlus to, pretty much, eliminate all that crap and make it a much smoother user experience.
After you get that set up, try looking here. It tells you how many chapters make up each arc, and even gives a little blurb summary for each arc. |

@A Mystery
The secret to buying a 30 or more volume series is to mirror the way you would have read it if you bought it as it came out. Trying to buy 25+ volumes at once and then binge read them immediately is a sure fire way to burn out. Try buying one or two volumes at a time, then wait a month or two before buying more. That way the financial burden is minimal at any time. At some point he may say "enough" and decide to not follow it further or he may finish the whole thing. The wait between purchases will either help sustain the suspense and enthusiasm or will kill it entirely. Either way you have bought no more than you need. |

Haha, he already stopped and looked at the very end how it ended
Thank you! He's reading a Zelda book now and will be sure to check the length of the series before buying something next time. But most important of all: he started manga on his own AND wasn't turned off by the story. And of course he knows how to watch anime if he'd ever wanted to (we have crunchyroll and netflix). |
