I don't usually watch dubs (every shonen male lead ever somehow sounds exactly the same to my British ears and it's kinda distracting) but the ridiculous over the top aristocratic accents for this show really do have something going for them.
I'm a little disappointed in the nosedive in the amount of actual animation happening, especially in the fights since that's a core part of Scarlet's characterisation. But it remains just as fun and insane, so it's getting away with it so far.
In many other stories, Prince Charming's manipulative sociopathy would be a big pile of red flags... But Scarlet can (mostly) fend for herself, and could always just punch him if he took things too far, so their dynamic is just a lot of fun.
You don't get a lot of isekai where the transferee isn't the protagonist, so while that twist felt a little unnecessary, I'm interested to see where they take it. (The Executioner and her way of life is the other one that springs to mind, and that was ages ago).

As a really old anime fan, I am sick of years of watching titillating (to other people) and formulaic brutality, but I find the well-deserved brutality here refreshing, with an attractive woman who doesn't use swords or guns. This is one I will watch to the end.

im afraid not. prince charming have the ability to seal away any gift. aka if he wanted to he can do the same to scarlet and can no longer use the powers of chronus to accelerate time or can she use the other abilities to give her fists superhuman strenght!
she would be a bonifide damsel in distress against him!
luckily for her, he's not like that considering that he's completely smitten by her ala a one sided unrequieted love type storyline.
in some ways, their banter is quite similar to alicia and prince duke from ill become a villainess who goes down in history!

So far, this one is checking all the right boxes for me. Scarlet is fun, and the dynamic between her and Julius works. Heck, the show actually got me to laugh more than once. An isekai villainess who is actually a villainess may even prove to be a reasonable opponent for Scarlet since the usual advantages of that may be things that Scarlet isn't otherwise too OP to handle.

I really find this show pretty fun. Though as the review mentioned the production value is getting noticably 4 worse. Watching this then watching Cinderella Gray back to back and you can really tell how much this show is like a clip show....

With so many isekai around, "the isekai protagonist is actually the villain" concept isn't exactly new, but it does feel fresh and interesting being inserted at this point after we got to spend so much time with Scarlet. It also explains the ending: she WANTS to be the protagonist so of course she must get something! Or else...
On logistic terms, I wonder what she can do against Scarlet now. She already played gun so what staple will be next? Mayonaise?

I think you mean "a slideshow", as "clip show" is used in reference to recap episodes (because they use "clips" from previous episodes).

I love how Scarlet's takeaway from Terenezza being an Isekai protagonist is "so what?" because all she cares about is punching people in the most efficient and satisfying way possible.
It also makes Terenezza an effective foil to Scarlet. While Scarlet banks on her physical prowess and solves problems with her fists, Terenezza banks on her "feminine wiles" and pheromones gifted to her by her Goddess.
I almost feel bad for Godwin that he got killed as a loose end and will now be immortalized as a face on a punching bag...but that was the only value Scarlet ever saw in him.
Scarlet with her hair down is an absolute vision. I wonder if the black streaks in her hair are going to stay for the rest of the season. Will her hair go fully black if she completely over-expends herself?
So now there's a religious conflict to add to the main plot.
If I had a nickel for every Villainess protagonist who got a dragon pet/companion, I'd have three nickels.
I love how you can tell Scarlet's friends are her friends because they, like her, immediately choose violence when necessary.
I think Scarlet's love of physical violence is completely genuine but I also think deep down she's just a normal girl who cares about her friends, her family, and wants to experience love, which is why Julius' flirtations are so effective towards her...and why it monumentally pisses her off when she toys with her heart. But he can't help himself, the version of Scarlet he's most attracted to isn't a lovestruck maiden, but the one who wants to constantly clobber people (even if that includes him).

Now that I caught up to episode five, I want to ask: is there any explanation for Scarlet's super-strength? Given how much exposition there is about her time-based powers I was half expecting one. Or is it the usual hand wave for female characters being violent in a comedy?

I don't know if they explicitly say it but I thought it was from her magic, she can basically speed up time for her hand accelerating it inhumanly fast

She is at, or sometimes near depending, the top of the class in various martial and magical subjects, so I expect that she is very strong as is, and the blessing is a big amplifier to it.

I've been under the impression from episode 1 that she's been using magical enhancements to her strength (and perhaps toughness) in addition to her blessing, much like magic knights in many fantasy settings do. (IOW, she's a self-buffing magic-user.)

I've really been enjoying this show so far, and credit must be given to Morgan Lauré and Reagan Murdock for their wonderful performances as Scarlet and Julius respectively. Scarlet reminds me of Vi from League of Legends ("Punch first. Ask questions while punching."), but while Scarlet does enjoy punching corrupt officials & hooligans and solving problems with her fists she also knows when to hear people out & display a good amount of maturity, restraint & decorum for lack of a better word, such as with Diana & Nanaka.
As for the show being an isekai honestly I don't really see it. Yes Terenezza is from Japan originally and uses her knowledge from Earth for her own gains but to me that alone doesn't make it an isekai. It's similar to The Executioner and Her Way of Life in that the focus isn't necessarily on the Earthlings but rather the people already existing in the new world if that makes sense. I guess reverse isekai would be the proper term for it but this show especially doesn't put much focus or attention on foreigner but overall it doesn't really feel like an isekai to me.
Regardless I very much look forward to seeing where this show goes from here.

Having watched a lot of dubs myself I don't really see how all male leads sound exactly the same to you, and I don't think you being British is the reason for you having that issue. Perhaps it's because you're so used to watching sub that you're not used to hearing ENG voices instead of JP ones but there are plenty of distinct male voices out there, such as Bryce Papenbrook, Aaron Dismuke, Ricco Fajardo, Reagan Murdock, Ian Sinclair, Todd Haberkorn, Yuri Lowenthal, Newton Pittman, Bryson Baugus, David Wald, Erik Scott Kimerer, Zac Aguilar, Matt Shipman, Christopher Sabat, Sonny Strait & Vic Mignogna (yes I know Vic doesn't do VA work anymore but still). Heck, even Brittney Karbowski can do a pretty decent male voice when she's cast as a male character.

"Reverse isekai" is generally used to refer to series which focus on characters from fantasy settings winding up in the modern world, like Yandere Dark Elf from earlier this year or last year's A Salad Bowl of Eccentrics or Plus-Sized Elf. (Or, to use an older but more prominent example, The Devil is a Part-Timer!) There really isn't a good term that I'm aware of for cases where there is an isekai element involved but not in a featured capacity, partly I think because those cases are still rare. However, I tend to agree that calling this one an isekai is more a technicality that central to its nature.
