First thought: Wow, the animation is GORGEOUS!
Second, more negative thought: I know it's just teaser. However, they've taken so long, yet those scenes are taken from the first volume only. |

To be more precise, it's all from the first chapter even. Obviously, with the studio, it's hard to not have doubts, but I'm hoping for the best. The manga really deserves a great adaptation. |

I guess the thing with Bug Films is they do impressive visuals...but knowing how much of a production mess is going on behind the scenes, you really have to wonder if they'll be able to deliver on-time.

I'm tired of the same cycle over and over again. Amazing animation in the teaser only for to fall off quality-wise mid-way. The vast majority of fans don't realize that the main team spends almost a year on the first episode. There's a near-zero percent chance the quality will hold throughout. There isn't enough time or resources to maintain this level of quality.

I happened to enjpy what they're doing with Zom100, granted I didn't finished the season, but first half of the series that I watched looked pretty good to me. They did have the most impressive first episode, and not just the visuals, direction was also really nice. Later episodes may be less detailed than the first eps, but it didn't simply go worse, they could maintain a degree of quality from what I remember.
Now I understand the concern regarding their production issues, delays and all. But since they've already delayed it before airing (unlike Zom100), hopefully there would be no more issues duruing airing this time for Witch Hat. |

Oh em gee.... The translation of the manga art (from what little I saw, as I'm highly anticipating this and not trying to spoil myself) to anime art is so impressive. They seem to be doing the manga's creative paneling some justice too. It's just... BUG Films doesn't have a great track record...
This will come out at the same time as Ascendance of a Bookworm S4, and if Frieren S2 has a second cour, alongside that as well. Now if Trigger would just announce Dungeon Meshi for 2026, it will be a fully-stacked Spring for fantasy anime! |
