That's pretty rare for a Hollywood star to meet the Japanese seiyuu they dubbed over. I think Tom Holland and Junya Enoki did a promotional bit together.

GOAT meets GOAT

They should have cast Depp in the live-action but I guess they didn't have the budget. Maybe he can be in the manga or anime at some point as a cameo.

Pretty sure it’s less the budget and more that

A. There was never any intent as far as I’ve heard to get him casted
B. The whole controversy with him and Amber Heard eventhough that lawsuit later on didn’t paint Heard in any better a light.
