Just gonna stay positive with the knowledge that KyoAni would only do this because somebody on staff really wanted to work on it, and that it's not the first step in them becoming yet another hollowed out Jump content farm

Even for a weekly Jump title, Ruri is pretty unique and feels just right for KyoAni, like something they'd be passionate with. Best news so far to close out the year.

Ngl, I always imagined KyoAni would be the perfect studio for this, but I was sceptical it ever happened because it's Shonen Jump... And now I feel like I manifested it Laughing I can't wait!

Ruri really fits KyoAni's style but I'm still surpised on this announcement, I never imagined KyoAni will pick up a WSJ title.

Yes, and that's honestly both exciting (cause if anything, you cannot except the low quality adaptation from KyoAni) and pretty crazy at the same time.

Oh, wow, this is definitely good news to close out the year on. The manga's great (and very different to most WSJ stuff) and having KyoAni onboard bodes very well indeed.

I've been praying for times like this. Been wanting a Ruri Dragon adaptation since I first heard about it years ago and look at that, the GOATs are producing it.

A dream comes true, those times where we couldn't tell if RuriDragon was going to come back after the hiatus feel so long ago.

The perfect studio to do it. Now I'm crossing my fingers that they cast Ano as Ruri. She's who I hear in my head whenever I read the manga.

Whoa, let's f***ing go! Biggest Shonen Jump coup since they got Ufotable to animate Kimetsu no Yaiba.

Well, that’s funny! I was just thinking yesterday about how I couldn’t imagine KyoAni adapting any Shounen Jump manga, and yet, they’re adapting a Shounen Jump manga! Well, either way, I’m looking forward to this!

It really speaks volumes to how popular the series is that only is KyoAni doing this, the series itself isn't even at the 50 chapter mark. They certainly have enough material for a season, but it would basically adapt everything currently out which has not been how recent Jump series have been adapted.
