Getting some answers to the many story questions of the first season would be welcome but said first season was okay at best.

Decent show. People see the low budget animation and give it a low rating but the story isn't bad. I'm interested in a season 2.

For me its more on they introduced the main story too late. Seems like there's more onto Orhun's backstory they've revealed in the last episode. Which is for me they need to focus on. Since i think most people wanted to find out.

Well, it wasn't quite the show it was advertised as being and turned into your usual average Banished/OP MC show, but I'm at least glad all that plot set up they threw in the last few episodes might lead to something.
I guess I'm also not surprised because they released a key visual of Orhun and Sion, where Sion was wearing an outfit she was never shown with in the show itself. Also another girl we can add to Orhun's Harem. |

I enjoyed it, will watch the S2 and will buy the blu ray if CR ever releases it.

It was actually the third most popular new series on CR (behind only Sentenced to be a Hero and Isekai Office Worker) and the fourth most popular new series on MAL (behind only Hero, Fate/strange Fake and You and I are Polar Opposites), so it was a legitimate success. Frankly, I found it boring enough that I dropped it I think after episode 4, and it doesn't sound like it got much better after that. |

Good, the last episode was nothing but more questions, leading to another season. Would've been a shame to do all that build up for no pay off.

I became extra aware of this series due to the number of people asking about its light novel on Reddit. I guess that must mean something.

actually the main x factor for an adaptation to get a sequel is for its light novels sales to be well enough to warrant the green light of a second season! after all, there are times where certain animes were very popular during their runs, but never got a season two because their source materials sales were not up to snuff. and of course , it depends on the genre as well on whether that series get a season 2 or not. |

I mean "popular new series on CR" isn't that much of a ringing endorsement. By and large, anime fans will watch a lot of mid-to-honestly bad shows if it caters to their interests and/or has good fight scenes (I know I'm painting with broad strokes so I want to say I'm not slamming anybody here's tastes). Buuut honestly in the end I'm kind of glad, I've been watching non-anime shows a lot this season and I'm so tired of the modern streaming model of shows getting canned after one season that I kind of celebrate renewals of shows in general unless they're downright abhorrent. |
