That came from a leaker. There’s been no official announcement about the number of episodes

I'm glad for the fans but I think about all the other shojo anime that had way better productions that never got a s2.

I also wish we could have gotten a s2 of My Love Story with Yamada-kun which was also a fantastic production.

Oh absolutely! I fell in love with the series and was delighted to learn that the manga has far more story. I adore Morio Asaka's directing of shoujosei works (Chihayafuru also). I'd LOVE a season 2 of Yamada-Kun999. My only solace is looking forward to his next directorial work, Scenes from Awajima.
