I was horrified to find out the dungeon of extreme boredom is still a major b-plot. I'm unreasonably tolerant of the meeting rooms, but I just can't with the "lets make a real video game" plotline.

I really hope this evil merchant cartel does some horrible stuff soon so that Tempest has something better to do.

It would seem that you are out of luck Eilavel because said dungeon is going to be the focus for a few episodes. I do not mind it myself since I always enjoy both the exploring and the management of a dungeon. That lucky hero is still as ridiculous as always and Hinata is still very much herself.

The party exploiting the rules is the most interesting the dungeon has been so far. Most is not necessarily a high value.

Well, I'm basically in as sunk cost, reasonably liking the show overall and knowing it'll eventually adapt everything and eventually that means surely the dungeon stops.

But boy, I'd be happy for entire episodes of magic meeting room if it was just about not the dungeon. Its just such a clearly overall tangential storyline thats also not optimal world building to my tastes.

That greed skill is rather nasty. It can be used to form an army of mindless puppets or to slowly take over even very powerful individuals. Given the opening I assume that includes a big dragon and indeed Yuuki. I do wonder if the latter is truly being controlled though. Besides that the dungeon crisis was resolved by the monster party.

Man, theres like 8 minutes of good material here; another reincarnator, evil motive explained, power explained and explains another major antagonists actions throughout.

Now the rest of the dungeon mess around... I don't really care for, though the high level group is mildly interesting in how they attempt rules exploits (totally sensibly). Its not recommendable tv but its at a tolerable ratio for me this week.

The dungeon adventure seems finished for now. Up next is the big meeting with the council and those deluded fools think that they can just order Rimuru around like a servant to fight a war for them. As Hinata said, it is not a good idea yet Mariabell likely has some follow up scheme planned.

Hell yeah! Haven't had a board council meeting in way too long! /s

The Karen in the front row sure changed her tune in a hurry. Weird how they declared accepting Tempest as their "sworn ally" when they haven't actually asked yet and Rimuru wasn't there to swear to anything. I'm not sure why they summoned him before they decided on whether or not they'd invite him to join the Council. Like when he showed up, were they gonna say, "We just wanted to drag you all the way over here to tell you in person that we don't want you on our Council"?

Given how those stuck up nobles acted last episode (even worse this week) plus Hinata warning Rimuru to keep his cool several times I expected the opposite to happen and it did indeed. I am not sure if it is an act to negogiate or if he is truly angry though.

I don’t think it’s an act going by his internal dialogue which sounded quite shocked about what was happening.

Rimuru, u mad bro? Ok, I admit, they got me curious about what pissed him off so hard. Those nobles were just a tad over the top. Subtlety is not this series' strong suit...

And he deserved getting outfitted like a child after dissing his boys' drip. GQ cover-worthy, both of 'em.

Yeah, a proposal that basically turns your people into slaves and extracts as much from your country as possible is something to get pissed about. The fact that said proposal is coming from a bunch of morons who were just being used makes it even worse. I hope that the prince will get a strict re-education because he badly needs one. As for that other guy... have fun with the inquisition I guess. That leaves those two ''skilled'' fighters but they were dealt with so easily that they do not deserve to be mentioned.

The assassin at the end might be able to put up a good fight.

There's still that one guy who didn't out himself, except for looking really nervous.

I think Souei is more than a match for assassin girl.

(looking up his name, I noticed this comment: "I need him to put me thru the mattress." Laughing)

I wonder if this whole conflict could have been avoided if Maribel had an honest talk with Rimuru. She has the image that he will become an evil tyrant sooner or later with humanity not being able to do anything about it but that is just not who he is. Then again, she still has that opinion after visiting the Tempest festival and given how the Rozzo family wants to rule over all there was never going to be a peaceful resolution.

Raphael was once again horribly broken by breaking the curse that easily, another ally gotten.

She's not actually wrong in her assessment of the situation, though she's doing a bit of projection in her fear of him being evil. What she doesn't realize is that it's already too late. If Rimuru did become power mad or evil, he's so OP no one could stop him, unless all the demon lords ganged up on him, and I don't see that happening.

There is also the matter of how the Granbell family operates. Hidden armies, assassins and pitting people against one another is not anything one can call good. At the end of the day they want the competition out of the way, doing it for the good of humanity feels like an excuse.

Not that I expect Mariabell to be a threat for much longer though. Her absolute reliance on her Greed skill and the assumption that it works on everyone is not going to end well for her. Without said skill I don't think she can do anything against Rimuru.
